POS roundtable?

Post by TAB2you »

That recent pocket knife roundtable was just amazing to me, the genorsity and the quality of the knives was amazing. However, I read several posts that mentioned a 'POS' roundtable. I'm pretty sure I know what POS stands for, but I'm wondering when you guys do it? I think it'd be pretty fun, havn't found the details of it yet. Too early for another roundtable?

Thinking out loud...

Hey TAB....
We just did one not too long ago...but I for one have managed to accumulate a few more POS qualifiers since then, and would definitely be up for another round! ::smirk::
The others may be played out though after the "nice knife" roundtable that just went down....

I'd like to see an ABOVE A POS Round table. The POS round table is just mailing something to someone else so they can throw it away...and the last knife round table had a $50.00 price tag on it which was way outta my league.....

So, I'd like to see something in between.......

Just my opinion......

Cutty,

Thank you sir, my search skills are below par, clearly. ::paranoid::

What a whole bunch of fun, though. I have a couple of candidates for a roundtable like that.

Triple F- that's a dandy idea, too. I've got a few that fall into that category, too.

313 Mike- I guess it is kinda recent from the other roundtable. What amazing knives, though, eh?

Thanks fellas.

How a bout a two knife round table? One POS and a $20.00 knife? We could also do a POS by the pound. Heck I'll send one pound of POS knives to each person that sends me one $25.00 knife. ::tu:: (No Chinese knives accepted although I will be sending them out in the mix)

Hey Scott, I know what ya mean..sort of an "edc roundtable" where we exchange users instead of "safe queens", good idea.....except that in the last two POS roundtables that I've been in, folks have seemed to include a little treasure in amongst the trash anyway. Nothing extravagant or pricey, but a little something usable that is capable of seeing some pocket time. Also the in the last batch of POS's that I sent out, the receiver found a diamond in the rough, re-handled it and put it back together as a quality piece. Just an alternate view on your altternate view! ::hmm::

that last roundtable was so deliciously exciting, with all the knives that had a value of much more than the $50. i would be interested to see what a $100 roundtable would be like ::woot:: ::woot::
but scott, i am with you also. ::tu::
its just that i hate to see the postal dept with all their squandering, make out more than the value of the items mailed. ::td::

I'm game ::tu::

Although i'm still not sure if the person that I sent to in the last POS round table even received my package???
Never to be heard from again as far as I know. I sent a couple of decent $15-20 users in that group.

How many of you folks would want to participate in a roundtable with these guidelines ? If there are enough to make it worthwhile (10 or more ) I'll start a signup thread for one.

So what kind of round table are we doing? POS pure and simple or a POS, $20 combo. I've done a fair job getting rid of most of my pure and simple POS knives, but I could dig out a couple more.

I'd be real interested in the POS/$20 idea. I'd sign up for that.

I would definitely be in for either one..., I guess we just need someone with the inclination and organizational skills that can set it up then...? ::paranoid:: I know enough to know that that ain't me unfortunately!
