Mornin' boyz!

Just texted my brother "GOOD LUCK" as I know he would be in the woods bow hunting for deer in western NY at this time. Yesterday he missed a 7 point. :(

Mornin' Scott. A full afternoon and evening of baseball today as the playoffs get started. My first pick in the American League has already been eliminated by this ridiculous new double wild card rule. Pretty much a full season at the top of your division, plus one of the best records in MLB this year and it all comes down to one stinking game. Anyone can win one game, even Houston. :x ::barf::

Morning Scott & Jerry. What a day in college football - looks like the Gamecocks could be the real deal after the whupping they put on Georgia last night and the Wolfpack made a helluva comeback over FSU - great college football. MLB playoff games today - great weekend for sports. OH

Morning guys and gals! It was a fine day in college football even if my boys can't play defense and can't run the ball.
I'm all ready to 'go to meetin' and will hold off on my 1st cup until after service. We'll hit the local diner or a corner Mexican joint for migas and coffee after church.
Hope you all have a fine day! ::tu:: ::tu::

Mornin' folks!!
Welp, we dodged the frost bullet this time. Only got down to 35 and there was enough breeze to keep the air stirred up. Might manage to get just a few more veggies out of the garden before the next cold snap. It was a lousy, hot, dry summer, so i'm tryin' to squeeze as much out of it as I can.
Have a great day!!

Happy Monday Gents! It's 50 here now, with rain moving in and a predicted high of 56 - it is really fall now - that first cup is just right. Opening day of rifle season for deer begins the 13th, it's black-powder season this week, but I doubt I will go - too much going on, need to save three days to take off next week for hunting with the rifle. Mornin' fellers!
48° here this mornin' and clear, should be in the low 70s. Nice weather.
We are still dry, over 100 days without rain making this the driest year since 1942!
Fire danger is really high, but they are predicting rain showers Saturday.

My step daughter is working at 5 AM all week, so I am up early to take her to work, since her car is broke down. Our grandson is coming up this weekend to fix the car for her. Always good to have a mechanic in the family who can work on all the computerized cars!

Y'all have a good day! ::tu::

Man, ain't that the truth. I used to could do all that, but now I can't even find the spark plugs. ::facepalm:: And when you can find them they've got so much crap hanging off them that you're afraid to pull anything off...........each plug has a coil??

 I know what you mean! ::dang:: ::dang:: ::dang::

I am going down this next weekend to pick up a '74 Chevy pickup from my dad.
He bought it for the farm, but decided to keep the Silverado. I will buy the '74 because I CAN work on that one!
I looked under the hood of that pickup last time we were down there, and boy howdy, a feller could take a nap next to the motor.
Plenty of room for my old hands to get to things & work on them in that truck, besides there ain't no computers in it!!!! ::ds::

Good morning folks. It's foggy and quite cool here this morning. If I had the day off I'd be in the woods squirrel hunting. The conditions are perfect. I went for a while last Sat. morning but it was a bit breezy making it hard to hear them or to spot movement. I did manage to bag a couple but I think I would have done much better had conditions been like they are here this morning.
Have a great day.
