How The Last 2 GEC knives Got Their Names

They got their names by the combination of jig style and what they used to dye the bone.
I talked with Bill Horn this morning and found out how the last 2 knives got their names. The dyed bone was done by a company in the Carolina's and they are proud of their work, I'm just sorry I don't remember which state. I'd be proud of that also, I like the look!
The sheffield tobacco was bone dyed in tobacco juice, that brings a spitoon in mind

but that has nothing to do with it.

They made a dye with tobacco leaves and distilled water. They dyed the bone in the tobacco leaf dye that they made. The Rogers Bone green tea used green tea leaves and came out a light color and you can see the natural bone in some places. This dye of green tea leaves was made by the same company. I thought that was pretty cool.

Ken Daniels told me how they dyed the bone the other day when I was making fun of what they had named them. He actually said they used Copenhagen for the tobacco, I hope it wasn't used

Flavored Tobacco?

I was into copenhagen for about a year or so. When Bill Horn told me, I first thought of an old Brass spitton. Then it was of my old 1983 4x4 Toyota truck I sold after 350,000+ miles and still original (wish I still had it). That truck had brown spots all down the drivers side of the truck from spitting out the window, didn't always have the distance.
