New knife, new sheath
I mentioned on another post that this kinfolks I picked up over the weekend was laying on a background of leather, that soon, would be my sheath for my new knife. It's rather crude, not to fancy, but it works for me.

So are you planning to bring that baby out of retirement and put it back to work ?

Funny you should mention that, Phil. A big YEP! Deer season ( western oregon rifle ) opens on Saturday, and the knife will be in my pack. Plan on it being in my pack for elk season ( Oct. 13th ). The knife took an excellent edge, then polished that edge off on my steel. Nothing I'd enjoy more than to put that knife to work! Thanks for asking Phil.

Bull, I like your sheath (and your knife) - the sheath looks good with the knife. OH

Re: New knife, new sheath
Old Hunter, Thank you for the compliment on pairing the knife with the sheath I made for it. It means much to me. The leather was so stiff, it's been drinking neatsfoot. I've backed off though on feeding the oil to it. I don't want to make the sheath floppy like. Thank you again !

Well, haven't had any luck yet puting that Kinfolks to work on a deer. Am leaving for elk camp today, with a whole lotta luck, maybe I'll get to use it on an elk. See everyone in a week, or hopefully less
