Oh ya, Johnnie.
That thing is sportin' a fine spear and those bolsters are nice and bright.
That could be turned into a nice slim packer.
New scales?

That's a very different electrician's knife. I've never seen one like it. I've had a couple of Queen electrician's knives, both standard run of the mill electrician patterns made under government contract. I'm not a big fan of Winterbottom so that would make a perfect candidate for some gnarly stag handles. This arrived via USPS today-
A Camillus Sword Brand farmer jack, 4-1/8 inches, celluloid handles, brass liners, nickel silver bolsters, carbon steel blade, no wobble and nice walk & talk. It probably dates to 1946 or before.
It us in my pocket along with 2 other older Camillus knives!

This arrived in the afternoon mail. A scout knife with very nice quality of MOP. Was produced circa 1949-1955. The tang reads Imperial Prov RI USA. Two spots on the screw driver. Slight shrinkage at one of the bolsters.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
The above knife was advertised as mint. It is clearly unused and there are not even handling marks on the bolsters.
I am not concenred about the two spots but feel the MOP shrinkage should have been mentioned. Should shrinkage eliminate the mint status? I have not rated the ebay seller yet so your input would be helpful. QS

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I think that anything less than absolutely factory fresh straight outta the box perfect, isn't mint and should not be described as such. Maybe, "near mint" with this or that minor issue but not "mint". Even "handling"/"storage" marks should be mentioned if your going to call it "Mint"
However, the fit and finish on the imperials were not usually as good as more expensive brands, straight from the factory. The slight shrinkage you see may just be the factory F&F, can't tell from the pics ?
That's my 2 cents
It's a good looking knife in my eyes.
