not visible in pics but seller claims stamp is L C Co.

Goins says that it is a marking used by FULTON CUTLERY CO. c. 1919, Canal Fulton, Ohio

The knife was made by Robeson.

F. C. CO. stood for Fulton Cutlery Company. It has been erroneously published previously as standing for Fillmore Cutlery Co. an early mark used by Millard FILLMORE Robeson on some German made imports in the 1890's.

Every FCCO knife I've ever seen was originally stamped ROBESON, but the mark had been ground off and replaced with the F. C. CO. mark. I don't know if that means the knives were factory seconds or what.

If you look closely, with a loupe, you'll most likely find a remnant of the original tang stamp remaining, ususually a portion of the word "Rochester".
