Prayers for my Wife, Debbie...

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayers for my Wife, Debbie...

Post by CCBill »

Hi, ya'll...
I haven't been around much in quite a while. My Wife, Debbie, has been going through a lot of tests and I have been there, with her. She has had 3 MRI's in the last 4 months and had spinal fluid drawn, today. The neurologist has about decided that she has Multiple Sclerosis but we won't know for sure until around the 20th of September.
She works from home and is on the computer and the phone, all day long. She has been having problems with her eyesight. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. She has been in and out of the hospital and has been to various Doctor's than I care to think about. She's about 18 years younger than I am. I wish they could take what ever is wrong with her and transfer it to my old broke down body.
For those of you that believe in the power of prayer, I humbly ask that you say a few words for her. She's a good Lady and I know there is no such thing as too much prayer. Thank you.

Prayers on the way. Also securing prayers from my two young nephews whose prayers give evidence of being unusually effective with the Lord. Youngsters don't have as much "static" in their prayers as some of us older guys.
Keep us informed please.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Debbie had a really rough night. They did a spinal pucture yesterday. Apparently it takes time for the fluid to equalize in your spine and she had an unbearable pain between her shoulder blades that just wouldn't stop. Her Dr. finally called in some good drugs for her but it was almost 5 A.M. before she leveled off enough to get to sleep. She had been sleeping soundly so I got up about 7:00. I hope she will sleep most of the day and will wake up pain-free... ::tired::

Bill,

Debbie and her husband are both in my prayers. I know it's hard for you to see her hurt.

Hey Bill, prayin for you and Debbie. My Mom has MS. She was diagnosed a few years ago. She went almost blind in one eye. Many, many doctor visits and several different doctors confirmed she had MS. She was currently working for the State of Kentucky and had enough vacation time built up to finish her time up so she could draw full retirement. So she did, err, the State urged her to. The LORD was merciful enough to give her near perfect vision back to her eye. Honestly, you wouldn't really know there was anything wrong with her now, she doesn't complain anyway. She just had a check up with her MS doctor a couple weeks ago and he told her to keep on doing whatever she's doing and see ya next year. MS has varying degrees and is treatable, not curable. Mom has had a few flare ups since being diagnosed but managable. There has been ALOT more good times than bad and I'm praying the same for Debbie! Bill

Debbie was diagnosed with MS a couple of days ago. It took a lot of testing and a very long time to determine it. Now that we know what it is, we can start to deal with it. She should get her medication in the mail in a couple of days. Her Neurologist is a really nice Lady and really seems to have it together. Debbie really likes her. We both have a very positive oulook about it and I think Debbie will be OK.
Thank all of you for your prayers, words of re-assurance and your kindness.
