steve,
As you can see in Bryan's link, the stamp as you described it....
case xx
bradford, pa
(nothing)
....doesn't show up. I've never seen the stamp, just as you described it, anywhere. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, as there are a gazillion knives I'VE never seen, and Case has probably used many other stamps on SFO and such...
However, could you check again, below the 2nd line (knife 1/2 opened) and post EXACTLY what the stamp reads....line by line, long/short C, lightning S, Capital letters........whatever. I, for one, am intrigued by your knife, and wouldn't mind researching it further. And I'm sure others will try to help.

thanks everyone!
hey, just wanted to say thanks to everyone that tried to help. unfortunately, i feel kind a dumb. it turns out that after cleaning the knife up a bit and looking rather hard, this knife is a 1991...lol. it was really hard to see but the tang reads case xx then under that bradford pa and then under that was 19usa91. it was covered with some blackening and it is down almost hidden by the bolster, but after cleaning it up, i could see it. anyway, i appreciate everyone trying to help.
thanks,
steve
