76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack
Finally a Gunstock pattern from GEC. Not quite a traditional design like Queen's or Canal Street's, but very nicely designed and comfortable in the hand. Of course it's built with GEC's usual attention to detail. At 3 9/16 inches by my tape, the 76 has half stops on both blades with the pen in front, making this knife a winner in my book. Thanks to Bill Howard and all the folks at Great Eastern! I can't wait to see the Northfield version.

Re: 76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack
Just ordered one off ya Barry
I like the way the blades sit when its closed and how low profile the pen blade is when your using the main blade. I am really looking foward to this one and im thinking it will be my new EDC.

Thanks, Gino, it'll make a great EDC my friend! It's a perfect size for easy carry with an unbeatable blade combo and square tangs; the bone is awesome too! I'm probably gonna have to keep one or two of this pattern fer myself!

I think I'll try one of those...my first real nice knife was a jack...
I'm wondering why they didn't use slanted bolsters on the Northfield stag....

Can't wait for my Root Beer to arrive!
I'll be on the lookout for the Ole' Jack too, love that shield with the jigged bone. If I can snag one it'll be the first time I've bought the exact same pattern from GEC with different handles, not counting the blade variations of the 25 and 66.

Re: 76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack
I like the pattern personally. It's a great pocket size with an unbeatable two blade combo, has half-stops, and the pen is up front. This seems like a small thing, but really makes a big difference in use. The double-ringed bolsters and end caps are new and I like 'em. Slanted and pinched are good too, but looks like they're only on the bone and coco NF's.
I'm with you Zippofan; the Rootbeer Float is sweet! I've reserved my Ol' Jack from Bob already; they are too cool!

Re: 76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack
Root Beer should be here today!
I hope there will be enough Ole Jack Gunstocks left or if they've all been reserved (fingers crossed).
I think there will be three packages in the mail today, the Root Beer and a 66 Calf Roper in one, two Case in another (G-10 stockman, medium '087 jack), and a Case Boy Scouts olive bone canoe in the third. The canoe will complete my BSA olive bone collection, now for the caramel!

Re: 76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack
The Yellow Rose version is out today and it has pinched and slanted bolsters too. It is a real purty knife!!! GEC doesn't use this handle material on every run, so it's kind of a treat.

Guys, if you want a Rootbeer Float 76 but haven't found one you like, I'll have a couple more in the store soon, possibly by Sun. 9/16, and you won't have to guess what they look like. FYI

You're welcome Gino!
You'll love that pattern. I just got a few more 76's in, and the Copperhead Jig Bone models are awesome!

That is outstanding. I mean, slanted bolsters and I am assuming copperhead bone? Where oh where can I get one?
