Moore Maker

Post by Sqg1 »

I've reading and learning quite a bit from you guy, but haven't seen anyone mention Moore Maker Knives and was wondering what the general opinion was. I bought one a couple of months ago and it appears to be high quality. What do yall think of them? Thanks, Allan

go to our search feature and search moore maker and there are lots of posts and pics on the subject. great knives, made by queen and the now closed camillus.

Thanks for the replies. Their web site led me to think they produced them at their factory in Texas. I have one in the muskrat, and now that you mentioned it, it looks just like the Queen muskrat I have. Thanks

I was involved in a somewhat lengthy disscussion last night on the chat forum about Moore Makers. I had a yellow jigged Muskrat that I sold a few years back and wish I hadn't. I too thought they were an independant knife maker from Texas and found out it was Queen and Camillus all along. That alone would explain their good quality in my opinion. ::tu:: Kelley

Since the Camillus product is selling out quickly they are having to change suppliers on their "economy" lines. I expect they will be going with Bear or Boker, or both. Either/both are good choices, but I expect the $32 price tag is a thing of the past.

Also, having Germany on the tang will cause even more confusion with those that think they are made in Matador.

I have heard from the horses mouth that Bear and Sons will be making some models for Moore Maker in the very near future.
