You got it ! It will have slanted grooved dimpled bolsters and end caps with "Copperhead old school" jigged bone handles . Looks like they're about 2 - 3 weeks away .

Re: New Release #76 Outlaw
Looks neat IMO, but yeah I think slanted bolsters would make it mo' better.
Love that they put the pen blade in front. Would love it even more with a coping blade up front.
Looks like the slants are going to be on the N'fields. The Tidioutes usually come first, I guess. I suppose that's bocote in Monk's pic, though I was thinking kingwood. I'd be jazzed to see a N'field trimmed ebony.

Re: New Release #76 Outlaw
I agree it's a nice pattern.....I guess my thoughts were more along the line of a gunstock pattern that I'm more familiar with where the bottom bolster is slightly larger than the top or at least the two bolsters were different as opposed to, two equally squared bolsters...otherwise it's not all that different......

Agree with Glenn, coping blade would have been better imho. I'm on the fence on this pattern

when will it come out? How can I get one? I think its great! I am a huge fan of squared bolsters. Makes the knife look more rugged and aggressive.
Whom should I contact to preorder? I really want one in primitive bone!

The #66 Mink was a test run of only three knives__ the #562211BEJ Bare End Jack was available in Ebony (short run of 24pcs.)___ there are still some of the #735211STL Scouts for sale at dealers** only Ebony in Northfield,I could find, with a quick look ?? ::shrug::____a #36 Sunfish & #72 Lockback (wharncliffe) are listed in totals___as well as the SFO's,that CK.net had made last year##__Jody744 wrote:For whatever reason, mr gec doesnt want ebony

Re: New Release #76 Outlaw
I wish GEC did the Root Beer acrylic on the Northfield Outlaw. As soon as the jigged bone 76's are out I'm all over one!
I've never figured out GEC's approach to acrylic. I have a Northfield 66 jack in acrylic, and the upcoming Ben Hogan lockback will have a NF version with acrylic, but then others they use it on the Tidioute's.
I'm loving the blue corduroy acrylic on the new Maverick too, but it's offered only in a Tidioute version.
If GEC keeps coming up with new patterns I'm going to have to remortgage my house

Re: New Release #76 Outlaw
Just in case anyone missed this....courtesy of Bob and his Old Hundred Collectibles Blog........" In addition to the previously announced handle materials,GEC will be making a run of the Northfield 76 Outlaw with the Smooth Yellow Rose handle scales. Also I have been told the Northfield 76 Jigged Bone will be something new. A new jigging pattern, called "Old School Number 3" is being used on these knives. The color will be the popular "Copperhead".

I like the Rootbeer Float handles but their like stag, some are knock your socks off great and some are just good. I'm on the fence with this one, leaning to fall off on the 'not' side. Jury's still out.

I think they are gorgeous. Couldn't have said it better myself though. I have seen root beers that make are outstanding...and some that look like they were an accident. This knife is beautiful. Congrats!
