I'm trying to get some infomation for a friend of mine. He needs to know a fair market value for a five bladed stag Case Select sowbelly knife. It is NIB.
Anyone know or have a source for that information ?
(I tried an ebay search but got zip.)

i have a case select 5 bld sow belly. its mastadon scales. i traded a case sidewinder for it at a knife show. the seller was our own bigden.
so i really can't say what mine was originally priced at. i think he was asking $225 for the sow....

I found a 2002 TB6539 chesnut bone in the Pocket Tradeers guide listed for $200. I have to believe that a stag knive would be 1 1/2 to 2 times that. A picture and a little more information about your friends knife would help me find out more about it. You could ask the Case Classic crowd what their 5 blade sow is worth. I paid $175 for mine which is a 55039. I've heard that when the number has a zero in it someone other than Case made it. Maybe a Classic collector will give you a better answer.

Here's the Red Stag that anOKgreenhorn is talking about. I have to say that $91 seems like a good price
