Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!
The Leek is not my first so the blush of first love is not quite there but I can't imagine my cousin not falling for it. If he doesn't I'm going to kick him out of the family.
JohnnieR, my dehydrated friend. The Buck SIRUS is a TANK and slick as a whistle. You didn't steer me wrong buddy. The quality just jumps out and slaps you right in the face. What a well built knife.
I may have to get the other two colors of the Kershaw Needs Work. Where have you been all my life. A little less substantial than the Buck but opens as slick as a cat's ---.

This was taken from the Case site. Pretty much tells the story.
High Art - The manufacturing process of applying photos under clear celluloid handle material on knives; such as Case's HA199_SSP.

She is a beauty monk, congrats on gettin'er!
Effects of off-gassing are greatly reduced if it's kept where air can circulate around it.

She's a good looking knife Monk. Seems like a lot of them last forever without outgassing and then some don't last at all. I wish you luck with it.

IDEAL K CO
USA
Just over 4 1/2 " closed....can't seem to find much info on this company except that they operated out of Providence RI from 1924--1986...not sure if they were a Colonial or Imperial brand, or if they were a seperate company. Either way I like the looks of this big ol' toothpick, even though it's obviously seen some hard use over the years! Gotta admit, the red kinda caught my eye....

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This NOS 3" Imperial USA, yellow shell-handled jackknife came in todays mail from Scott (Triple F) - another version of the Cap-lifter jack - I'm going to guess a late 1970's to late 1980's based on the short cap-lifter. Scott, the USPS did you proud on this one - two days service from FL to eastern NC!

Glad you like it Bruce!
With $1.99 price we thought it might be from the 60's.....just a guess though.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Scott, your guess could be right - just browsed a 1959 Imperial catalog - that knife is not in the catalog, but every cap-lifter shown was of the short variety by 1959. It is a very cool knife, regardless of what year it was made (tang stamp covers the range from 1956-1988).
Ps. Thanks for including the "Old Hickory" cloth tape - that is the nickname of the old 30th Infantry Division, NC & SC ARNG!
PPs I decided to leave it in unused condition - that old gum back, price tag has made it 4 or 5 decades on the reverse side of the knife - so it gets to stay that way!
