While my pockets aren't as deep as those of some of you guys, I am learning to love GEC, and I'm grateful to all of you who are helping to keep them in business. I'm thinking that maybe this thread will never end.

My first "real" GEC (the others are made by GEC for other cutlery firms). Also bought the Jack-knife off e-bay on my smart phone last night while on vacation (paid via PayPal using the smart phone too). Downloaded the sellers picture and just posted it here via my smartphone - lots of first for me - kinda crowing over it all!

Thanks Dogg, been wanting a GEC too, kept my eye on the bay until I could find a deal on a stag jack knife. When I get my hands on it i'll post some more photos.

Got home in time - the package was in the mailbox - I am thrilled - it is nicer than the seller's e-bay pictures. Very deep stag, slanted/pinched bolsters, very nice jack knife - my first GEC and I am not disappointed - I can see what all the excitement is about.

Old Hunter,

Congratulations! Welcome to the club ...

You have good taste, that #66 jack is one of the most overlooked, and IMO, one of the nicest of the smaller GECs. As you said, slanted bolsters (slanted in same direction, which I really like), and just a nice touch of serpentine to the frame. Nice in the pocket, nicer in the hand.

Beautiful knife - great choice.

Oh yeah ... it's all downhill from here. Let me ask you somethin' (I'm bettin I already know the answer) ...

Have you started scopin' out your NEXT GEC yet?

 8)

Laughing here - you guys have me nailed! For future purchases of GEC's I am thinking stag handled bullet-end jack 852211 and RR Conductor (maybe buffalo horn - but no bail wire).

Both of those are sweet!

The conductor is one I left alone for a while and now I really like it a lot. I'm with you on the "no bail" version.

You have good taste, Sir … :)
