Marbles USA Boy Scout Fixed Blade Woodcraft Knife
From what I've read, this dates to the 1930's. She's a beauty.

Scott, she really is a beauty. I was a Boy Scout in the era when a "sheath knife" was quite acceptable - sold by the BSA labeled as "Official". For years now the BSA has outlawed the carrying of fixed blade knives by Scouts; guess we should be glad they still encourage the use of pocketknives, but what a loss to the culture of Scouting. Your knife is emblematic of the grand old age that has sadly passed away. Very nice piece!
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

That is a great knife with a handsome sheath. Marbles invented the woodcraft and nobody else really did it as nicely. Western and Remington also made nice official fixed blades. The BSA USED TO BE a great organization deserving of that knife. No more. That is my opinion. I shan't expound, as I have been warned before about having opinions. By the way, I believe that British boy scouts can't carry ANY kind of knife now.

Very nice indeed !!!
In the 1950's we carried fixed blades everywhere we went in uniform
Another golden era left in America's political dust

I just listed this beauty on eBay. If any AAPK member wins it, let me know I'll toss in a little something extra.
