Case TestedXX blade needed

Post by 268bull »

Am on the prowl looking for a spey blade for a Tested XX, green bone, made between 1920 - "40. Just spoke with Case repair and they can't repair a knife that old. It measure 4 inches closed but has no pattern # stamped anywhere. Case did confirm though that the broken blade would have been a spey blade. Their machining can't repair knives pre - dating 1980. Outside of the broken blade, the knife is still a good worker. Clip blade is worn but snaps open good, soft closing though. Punch blade snaps like an old gator. Green bone handles are solid and all intact. Thank you for your time ::tu:: Bull.

There are no pattern numbers stamped on the tang at all, and I do realize the importance of pics, however for what ever reason I can't get the download to work. It just runs and runs and runs and no pics ::shrug:: Bull All the tang has stamped on it is Case Tested XX

I had the same problem trying to post pictures with my Kindle after their "upgrade." Get yourself a free photobucket account, then copy and paste the IMG code right into the text box. PM me if you have any problems. ::tu::
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Go to ebay and find a knife that looks like yours and just post the auction number. It will be easy to get a blade for you once it is known what you have. A 4" Case knife doesn't mean much - there are so many.
