I found this auction at ebay and the information contained in the auction is completely FALSE. He claims he uses AAPK for knife research, but he sure did not get this information in his auction from us. Here is the Bulldog auction, it is a 1 of 10 Tiger Coral, not a 1 of 1 snakescale:

Here is what I wrote him:
This is a Tiger Coral, one of 10 Tiger Coral proto's made in 2006 making it a fifth generation knife. I am a moderator at allaboutpocketknives.com , member name is Hukk and I'm fairly knowledgable about Bulldog knives. The fighting dog stamp was used during Bulldog's first 3 generations 1978 - 1995. It was revived in 2004 for Bulldog's 25th anniversary and still in use, replacing the double dog head tang stamp. Some say that this started the 6th generation, but that is not official yet. Bulldog made 100 proto's of every knife they make, 2007 they started to make 200 proto's. There were 10 materials and 10 knives of each material in 2006 and 2007 20 of each material. Stop by and ask or post a question, it's free and we have a few Bulldog experts in AAPK. It is 1 of 10 Tiger Coral and I believe I still have the catalog. You mention that you use us as a resource, but I don't recall your user name, if you are a member. Please do not connect us with this knife description, you are wrong.
Well what do you know, just as I was writing this I got the following message back. That was quick and painless.
Allright, the auction was closed and relisted. New auction #280110529700. Thanks for the help and sorry for the screw up. I am a member, but only really use the site for info on Case knives, etc. I have not added a forum as of yet. I will get on it. I have sent Bryan photos of rare and special Case models for the site, but that is about it. My name is Jason Baker and I think the user name is either Drbulldog or anythingyouwantdirect.
Looks like we are getting a good reputation for honesty.

Fellas this is wonderful news. To think that someone actually listened is amazing. Nice job, it is very difficult to confront some of these ebayers and this shows that some DO value our opinions and expertise. Maybe we can make a difference after all. Other sites discourage you from saying anything to an ebayers. "they don't care" I guess that is wrong, some do care. I am very proud this morning. I include a paper copy of a AAPK's business card in every knife sale I mail. If more people know we are out there, we could make a difference in the market. Seems impossible, but hey, one knife at a time is fine with me.

Looks like norsefan and olderdogs1 got the other one. I went to bed early after spending about 5 1/2 hours on a tractor mowing weeds, man they were pollinating. Even though I took an antihistamine, not pleasent at all. I also confirmed that there is a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Heck, I steered it with my left hand and the right clutch to turn, man I sure feel it today. Someone had to do it.jonet143 wrote:nice work darrell, what about his othe bulldogs? niether of those names show any posts. must be somethin else.

well i searched our posts for both names he gave and no posts were found. he is useing AAPK to give credence to all of his listings. that ain't right. AAPK SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM ALL OF HIS ADS. he is not a contributing member.

good work guys!
I tell ya, some folks go to extremes to sell a knife when most times the knife sells itself.
