GEC 42 Missouri Trapper/Trader
Check out the size difference between the 3 3/4 inch Mini-Lockback and the 4 1/4 inch Missouri Trader;
1/2 inch is quite a size difference! Whaddya think guys?

Re: GEC 42 Missouri Trapper/Trader
Thanks for showing Barry, I was wondering what side by side would look like.
A little stouter than the 72, but not 23 size....looks like I'll be trying some more out...

Re: GEC 42 Missouri Trapper/Trader
I've only looked at a couple Earl, but they were like the 72's in that one was tight and the other had a tiny amount of movement, but hardly any really. I've seen the same with the S&M mountain man lockback which seems to be the grandaddy of this pattern.
Thanks Bill H.!!!
My appologies for the crappy photo.
Thanks Bill H.!!!

Re: GEC 42 Missouri Trapper/Trader
All of the 42 Traders I've looked at thus far have been very tightly constructed; any tighter and they'd be difficult to unlock. I think GEC hit a homer with the new, slightly larger lockback!

I've been waiting on a lockback Pioneer for a while. This is certainly a step in the right direction! Great knives fellas.

Are these new 42 lockers tight, or do they suffer a bit of blade play like some of the 72s?

Thanks' guys...it's a work in progess. Jerry that would be a big wharnie blade...who knows it could happen.
Barry I'm looking at one...seems I've spent my allowance for this week...
