Welcome to AAPK.
It is hard to tell exactly what you have without a brand name and without pictures or a link to the site where you purchased the knives.

"spring assisted tactical marine knives" sounds more like a description than a brand or even a type of knife. When you say "marine" knife do you mean "Marine" as in US Marine Corps or do you mean marine as in having to do with things nautical?

If "spring assisted tactical marine knives" is referring to the US Marine Corps, it sounds to me like a sales pitch for an import knife. I got out of the Marine Corps 39 years ago so I don't know what they are currently issuing, but I suspect that you could not purchase a military issue spring assisted knife these days for under $250. Most of the military knives I have seen are automatics, a.k.a. switchblades and are in the $350-$500 retail range.

Hope this helps. If you can get some pictures or links that might do more good than anything.

Welcome to AAPK.

I've had this one, which is very similar to yours, for a couple of years. The only markings are 'China' and 'Stainless'. I suspect they're all made in the same factory. I've never used it but it feels like it's sharp. The Assisted Open works very smoothly and the liner lock locks up solid. I've started carrying it in the truck console. The only reason I bought it (less than $10 including shipping) was because it has the Marine Corps emblem on it.

Edit: I've bought one for each of my grandsons but other than that, I can tell you nothing about them. Do you plan to carry one of the two you bought?

It's a fairly large knife so it's kind of bulky and it's all metal (at least mine is) so it's a bit heavy. Once you get it, let us know what you think.

Edit: Were you or your brother in the Corps or are you getting them because you think they look cool? (not a damned thing wrong with that)
