Re: Old Belknap Skinning Knife
Belknap Louisville,KY c,1840 to 1986 and included names such as"Pine knot,J.Primble Germany as well as a few others including Belknap". Boker are the ones believed to have made the J.Primble trade mark knives for them.Hope this helps you some.I also found this on AAPK web site.http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/art ... rdware.php it appears your knife is from the latter Blue Grass Com."Some of Belknap's trademarks have been purchased by a company called Blue Grass Cutlery Inc., the same firm that produces the popular Winchester knives. Thus, the trademarks still live and the legend continues. In the years since Belknap's demise, all their knives, including the later Belknap Hdw. & Mft. Co. and Belknap Inc. marked items, have become ever more sought after by collectors. And when you look closely at them, it's easy to see why"
