Where ever they were stored, looks like in a leather roll, there is a bunch of Verdigris on the bolsters.

Do not store them on leather and wipe off the Verdigris ::tu::

What is the name the switch blade in picture 6 all the way to the right?

Ooh, Scott. That's a nice one.

Anyone who's been paying the least bit of attention here, knows I'm a #72 fanatic. Camillus #72s, Ulster #63s, Schrade #863s, all the clones, I love 'em all. I decided in order to become a complete 72 man, I needed (That's right folks. I just used the 'N' word.) a Great Eastern #72 to join my flock.

The one that caught my eye was the 720110 (Wharncliffe) with stag handles. Bad news. There were only 41 made, 25 w/ser. #s and 16 w/out ser. #s and THEY'RE POPULAR. In charged Boggs wearing his hero's costume, riding a white horse and rescued me with the deal of the century. Thanks Jim. It came yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased.

I think I mentioned my grandson was up last week to spend some time with me. He was looking through my SMKW catalogs and told me he wants throwing knives for his birthday in September. Okay.

Then he tells me, for Christmas, he wants a knife like I gave his step-father (Kershaw Leek). We cruised eBay to see what's available and he picked out the enhanced Leeks with 'Koi Fish', 'A Spider', 'Tiger Eyes', 'Flames' and then he spied this one. I said but it's pink. He said "It's for breast cancer, grandpa." It came in today's mail.

I may be in trouble with my daughter but isn't that what grandparents are for? To occasionally test the boundaries? I don't know about his mom but I know he'll love it.

Jerry, what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall at his house when he shows it to his mom. Or, his buddys moms, or his teacher, or the ministers wife. Hope ya got some iron BVD's buddy, I got a feeling you're gonna need 'em. Of course, it is for a great cause, but it'd be a real hard sell 'round my house! ::nod::
Anyway, ya got my vote for grandpa of the year! ::tu::

WB -- There's no criticism of your opinion intended here.

He's not allowed out of the house with his knives. I'm pretty sure we don't have to worry about a teacher seeing it. When I gave him his first, he was told in no uncertain terms he was NOT to take it to school. Of course he took it to school and got caught and got in big trouble. He did learn a lesson from it so maybe it wasn't all bad.

Quite frankly, I don't see it as being any worse than fart jokes and 15 year old boys think they're as funny as all get out. I grew up in a house that was strict to the max. I'd like to think the strictness of my generation and my daughter's generation has taken on some common sense. Time will tell.

Jerry, I'll let you be my grandpa! Great gift - and afterall, we all want to help preserve all the boobies possible - right!
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

No criticism taken, Jerry. I wasn't giving a negative opinion and I was serious when I said you have my vote for grandpa of the year. The Leek is an excellent knife, and the cause that one represents is a very worthy one. I'd be in trouble for giving my grandson that particular knife, but it doesn't neccesarily mean I disagree with it. But then again, the women folk 'round here don't see the humor in fart jokes either. Go figure! ::shrug::
