Hello out there!!!

Post by marcinek »

Wanted to introduce myself as a new member of AAPK.

Its a pleasure to be here and I'm looking forward to tapping into everyones vast knowledge.

I'm new to the slipjoint world, but have encountered some of you fine folk already out there on the Web.

Briefly, just got my first slipjoint about a week ago - Eye Brand Brown Smooth Bone MiniTrapper. Enjoying the apple eating/patinization process. Like it so much I bought an old Eye Brand Stag Handled Skinner. I'll post some pix once I figure out how to use the scanner or digital camera...eventually.

Oddly, yesterday, work blocked BFC. What nerve!

I can't go all day without a slipjoint chat, so I'm very glad to be here!

Again, thanks all!

And justold, always nice to run into a fellow Illinoisian on the Web. Spent 4 years in Champaign-Urbana a long, long time ago, but was born and raised in Chicago (with a 15 year stint in New York City thrown in along the way).

::welcome:: WELCOME to AAPK! Chicago, that always remind me of the sound of valley quail after the covey flushes and they sound off to regroup. Chiii--caaaa----gooo   Oh well, it's early here. Fun bird to hunt.
Welcome to a great group!

Thanks once again everyone!!!

I'm in the midst of a family issue (everything in the end is OK, but it involves some post-issue tending) and hope to be sitting down, chatting, and whittling with all you good folks in a week or so.

In the meantime I've gotta take care of my business (maybe I'll work on the patina on my Eye Brand mini trapper while I'm at it).

Thanks again for your hospitality!

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I've only been collecting knives for about eight months. I have bitten by the bug. My wife thinks I,ve lost my mind, but I told her she would appreciate my hobby at the estate sale.lol. I've learned quite a bit from another knife forum, but am sure I can learn a lot here. So please bear with me if I seem to have some stupid questions
