new stag type

Post by junom »

Does any one know what type ov stag case is using in place of sambar, its alot whiter, I think the prime is still sambar, they get a little from Inda every few years, and the countrys close to India sell them some I heard. after 2000 the stag starts to craze in a few years, and some stag can,t be burnt. junom

I found a answer to my own question case never ran out of sambar, they had a huge back stock and alcas had thousands of lbs. stored away, to sell to case ,they use scraps for vintage and rework it,but its all india sambar, the older stuff blackens when tourched, so they leave it white the only problem is the heat kept the stag from crazing,so now there is some out that has small surface cracks, thats where bone stag started. it helps them to keep the good stuff for their better knives. I got this from a 30 year case man.

That is real interesting, thanks for posting this.
