It's a COLONIAL Prov. RI. USA. I picked it up on Ebay. I bid on it for the same reason you mentioned, I'd never seen a scout type knife with an electrician's/lineman's screwdriver/stripper blade before. There is no model number stamped anywhere, just the Colonial tang stamp and the can opener is stamped USA. I doesn't look like it has been altered in any way either. I'd be interested in finding out more about it myself. ::shrug::

I carried this one on my belt for most of the last 10 or so days. I was out hunting with clients and it once again acquitted itself well. It is the first friction folder I made and has been working hard for a few years now without any hassles. Friction folders are not very well known over here as our knife laws are still sensible and you can legally carry any form of locking knife or fixed blade. While FF's are a bit of a strange concept to many, I am glad to say that despite this, the knife was frequently borrowed on this last hunt to gut and dress out animals - it seems the other guys also thought it worked well enough...

Next to it is a 30-06 round for scale

Charlie, throw in a S&W M29 and a Winchester levergun 30/30 and I would say you are well armed!
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Would you settle for a S&W Mod. 66 and a Marlin Mod. 336C 30/30? If you insist on .44 Mag I'll have break out the Super Blackhawk. ::tu::

No picture yet because I got home too late.

Rocky1122 bombed me with a 5 blade Sowbelly with script shield on Goldenrod bone. I swapped my pocket stuff around and gave it an empty right front to ride around in today.

And at the moment it is in the pocket of my shorts.

I'll try to get a pic this weekend, but it looks like this is gonna be a tricky one to shoot....

I carried an Edge stockman the last couple days to work. I was cleaning it up when I had a break. I used 500 and then 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper n it over the last 2 days. It is shaping up OK, I think.
