Yeah Griz he resembles that remarkgriz1200 wrote:Hey Cutty....You better start feedin Ole Hank...He looks like he could drop over from starvation any minute now!
He's pushin 10 now and has slowed down considerably unless he's running to the food bowl.
Here's a picture of him back when he could out run any dog in the area, most rabbits and squirrels as well. He's quite the frankendog

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
I hesitate to call this cat MY pet, preferring his name - Oscar (the Despicable). My oldest daughter brought him home about 12 years ago, of course she left for college for two degrees and now teaches in Ohio - we still have the damn cat! He adopted me as his pet or master or whatever a cat thinks, and goes where ever I go - aggravates the hell out of you - but I guess he is ours as long as he lives.
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Kaleb your pup may have the worst black eye I've ever seen!
Musta been one of those chasing frisbee didn't see the tree kinda things.
OH it does seem the cats choose their people.
I suspect they think of us in terms like 'slave'
or 'custodian'.
Made 2-3 stops at animal control in last 3-6 months to
checkout the inmates w/o any viable candidates.
Shelter just a few miles past USPS POB.
Last Thursday had a feeling I should go by for recon.
Decided to try out this lil black lab mix.
He was calmer than most not jumping on fence or
barking but still alert, taking it all in. Not a leash tugger
and eager to meet other dogs regardless of their size.
With that white paw no way they could pull a switcharoo
and stick me w/one of those plain ole regular black labs.
I may have fallen off the turnip truck but it wasn't yesterday's turnip truck!
Named him Otis but may have to change to Shado if he sticks any closer.
Might be awhile before I can get him & cat in same shot.

Wosey, Otis is a fine looking pup. I sincerely thank you for selecting a pet from the shelter and providing it a great home. All the pets that I have owned and loved in my lifetime came from the roadside,(abandoned) or from a shelter. They have all been exceptionally loyal and true.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Took this the other morning of my son's Jack Russell Terrier "Buddy"with 3 of his less animate friends. The black & white one is made of rabbit fur(I think)and his favorite. He actually licks it a bit when he jumps up on the bed;I think he's trying to wake her up.The brown & white one has a battery inside and looks like it is breathing. The brown one is also battery powered an barks and bounces up and down much to the consternation of Buddy.

That seems to be a popular misconception with that pic, Chet!
That is a Goody's Powder in my hands!
With a face like mine... you're gonna have some headaches.
My 8yr old granddaughter and I were playing around in Photo Shop and that's what SHE did to ME!!
I DID get her back....

The usual mice & birds are nothing for this gal. This predator has added to her kill list: bats, moles, chipmunks, squirrels, river rats, snakes, & oddly enough the occasional young o'possum. The last one had evidently "played possum" to a T. I came into the kitchen to find her staring intently under the dishwasher. Low & behold when I pulled that booger out from under there it appeared perfectly fine. And as Ellie May use to say, " them's purdy cute lil critters". At least when their young.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Thank you Johnnie, she is a great kid too.
She is a JR. in high school this year, gets good grades and is in all the school plays.
She helps out at a horse rescue, she just loves animals. I got lucky with this one.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
She does have a few pocket knives. A Schrade sp2, a few Buck Creek Dr. knives and a Girl Scout camp knife.
I gave her a Bear pearl Damascus small lock back, and a Case stag tiny toothpick. She likes the sp2 the best.
It is light and a good size for a pocket I guess.
She is on her way!!
