The shop gets a makeover

Post by muskrat man »

So, we're cruisin down the road and see a yardsale right? We mosey on up there and nose around a little to see if they've got anything good. The usual questions of "do you have any pellet guns, archery equipment or pocket knives?" They said No. So we end up getting a pair of vice grips, a nice overhead flourescent light and a nice flourescent table lamp. And there sits this nice big metal desk, with a price tag of $3, now i've been trying to hunt one of these up for my primary work area, but with yardsale season just starting up we hadn't found one yet. We bought it, but we don't have a truck. We've got a litle Plymouth colt nicknamed "the blue winged teal", and we've just bought a desk that's the size of the car! We've hauled alot of stuff on the ol' girl, shes got 125K and still runs like a top. So, we roll it up onto the trunk, strap her down and creep 25 miles back to the homestead to unload it. Was afraid we might flip over going up a big hill on the way home. Shoulda seen the looks we got  People gawking and point fingers, shaking thier heads and laughing. But let'em laugh, I'm the one with a new shop desk ::ds::

Good find MM and that thin wide drawer will get a lot of use.
In all it looks like it was a good but unsafe journey.
