Schrade Old Timer reattaching badge to Delrin

My first newbie question (of many more, I'm sure), and my apologies if it's answered someplace and I've managed to
overlook it completely. There's so much info on this site that I'm sure to miss things.

I've got a Schrade 125OT whose badge has popped out of the Delrin. I've been searching around here for about a
week (reading a lot before I actually joined), and haven't come up with anything specific, or else I simply haven't
come up with the correct search terms.

From what I've read, and from looking at the imprint where the badge was, the badge was melted in to the Delrin. I also
know that most adhesives and Delrin simply do not get along.

So my question is, what do you do to re-attach badges to Delrin? And if it's been covered elsewhere, please go ahead,
Whap! the newbie, and point me at it so I can figure out not only how to fix the knife, but also what terms I may have missed in my searches.

I would just use superglue

We don't "Whap!" newbies around here, we try to help them.

Just for my own curiosity, is that knife with the missing shield an older USA made Schrade
or is it one of the newer ones from China ?

Chris, welcome to AAPK. I've replaced the shields in a couple of Old Timers with saw cut Delrin handles and both times I used a small dab of two-part epoxy. It was probably over kill but it worked just fine.

I haven't decided which one I'll use yet, but from reading up on Delrin, looks
like any of them will do the job.

@Rocky - Hi neighbor! A good friend of mine from high school lives in Mechanicsville.
I get down that way once i a while, though not nearly enough. Always nice to know
members close by!

@Phil - USA made. I grew up not too far away from Walden, NY, (used to take Tae Kwon Do lessons
from a guy that lived right outside Walden town limits, and used to go rock & mineral hunting in
Ellenville) so I have a soft spot for Schrade, and am trying to focus on the NY made brands (at least
what I can afford). And I've got the shield, it just popped out. It won't go back in flush, but I
haven't tried a soft face mallet or cover cloth yet, and was figuring that some adhesive couldn't hurt,
since it will most likely widen the impression as it goes back in.

@Jerry - Overkill is fine with me, as long as it stays in place!

Welcome aboard Chris!
I usually use 2-part epoxy myself.
