What have I got?

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

What have I got?

Post by Chief RID »

I picked this up today. It is my 1st Queen brand. The blade etching says Master Cutler Collection over stainless. Q 77 on tang. What year? What is this pattern called?

The 77 is the year. That tang stamp with the Q and the year was used from '76 - '83. Looks like a Trapper to me.

What Jerry said. The Master Cutler Trapper Collection was a 2 knife set, a full size and mini trapper. If yours is 3 1/2 then it's the mini and they were made with old Rogers bone found at the Queen factory.

Thanks Jerry and Bill. It is a great little knife. I will forever be on the lookout for it's partner. I am proud to add it to my collection of mini trappers.
