CAMILLUS 91 - 4 Blade Pocket Knife

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

CAMILLUS 91 - 4 Blade Pocket Knife

Post by dldeel »

My grandfather handed down several knives and one of them is a Camillus 4 blade pocket knife and on the blades it has the two digit code of 91. Can anyone tell me anything about this knife? Thanks in advance for your time.

Howdy dldeel,
I have a 4 blade Camillus knife marked 91 also. It is commonly referred to as a Congress pattern. The one I have has Bone handles and is probably from around the 40's and 50's.
If you could upload a photo of your knife, you would get more information about it.

Welcome to AAPK. Although you can't always depend on tang stamps to accurately date a Camillus knife, a good clear picture of the tang stamp will help get us in the neighborhood of the knife's age.

The 91 Congress was in the 1946 catalog and still in the 1984 Catalog but was gone from the 1990 and later catalogs.
