Nice Buck Pinnah! ::tu:: The Opinel is sweet too.

Overcast and drizzly in the Baltimore area today. Been listening to "Asleep At The Wheel" in the truck. Slow day at work. Carrying my Gerber multi-tool and these two.

Oh yeah! And a small Victorinox SAK in the watch pocket.

Thanks for the info, Jerry. By the way, that's an awesome assortment of swell-center stockmans you have. ::tu::

Lately I have been carrying this Benchmade Ascent,
What I really enjoy about this knife is that it does not have steel liners and thus is very light. Plus with a blade that is 3 inches, and ATS-34 steel, you get quite a bit of cutting capability. While I know that most people like steel liners for there durability (I do as well) this is a great carrying knife because of the lack of them. It reminds me of the Gerber LST (another great lightweight knife), but with a larger, more durable blade on it. Because of it's light weight construction, I'm reluctant to really push it as I like it so much, but for the every day stuff it is fantastic.

Carrying one of my standard packages today. This combination of knives seems to be my current favorite.

Charlie, I think with that combination you have most situations covered. Anything you couldn't handle with that set would probably need a rather large Bowie or a short sword... ::tu::

I keep my Randall Gilbreath Bowie in the map pouch of my truck and a Gerber machete in the tool box. Having been a Boy Scout and a Scoutmaster, I tend to be prepared!!! ::rotflol:: ::rotflol:: ::tu:: There's also a bow-saw and a camp axe in the tool bin under the back seat! I'm not over-doing it am I? ::shrug::

Looks like those "will do" very nicely!! ::tu:: That old Walter & Co. jack is a real keeper!! ::tu:: The Kershaw is a tried and true workhorse......no doubt.

As you know, I've picked up the two GEC knives since I started posting here. I have really fallen in love with them and find it hard to rotate my EDCs as often as I used to! ::rotflol::

Thanks Smoke. Thanks Dave. I'm up to 18 of them now Dave and still wanting more. It's getting down to a better one of this one or that one and oh, isn't that a tang stamp I don't have. I think I'm ready for a trip to rehab.

Here's a better look. I purchased the horizontal sheath separately.

Thanks Dave! ;)

I am gonna carry this one tomorrow and have it in my pocket now. I found myself needing a screw driver a few times in the last couple days so I am going back to this for a bit.

Gino, every time you show that #85 I just want to cry.....

Got this one in the mail a couple of days ago and it is already riding left front as an EDC - just waiting for some new scales:

If I decide to go with giraffe bone scales I'll probably take it apart this week and redo it. I might get some bone from Culpepper's though, in which case I'll have to wait a bit. For now I am just enjoying it - and the edge that the good old 1095 takes!

Just one man's opinion but I think the Culpeppers would be worth the wait.
