Great knives, guys! ::tu::

IM, that Aerial is fantastic! ::woot::

Here's one I got recently. It's a fish bat/knife combo. It was made for L.L. Bean and combines two of my favorite things: vintage knives and vintage fishing gear. :D

Whoa Dave! That thing is cool! I've always wondered about the fish knockers, don't reckon I ever caught one that I felt like I had to blackjack. But it might be kinda fun! :lol:

Now that is a fantastic Southington, Paulsvintage. I'll admire that for a little while longer I think before I hit the sack. Not too many of those around.

Well, WB, then I would bet you haven't caught a sheepshead. I was fishing off Sanibel Island in Florida once and kept catching these things. They have these weird teeth like human baby teeth. When I saw the teeth for the first time I didn't know what to make of it. My first thought was it must be some kind of mutant or demon! One of the freakiest fish I've ever caught. :shock:

Thanks, Cutty, and good luck! I hope you catch some whoppers. Sheepshead may be freaks of nature in my book, but I will say this about them: They are tasty! :mrgreen:

We do stun our fish, before cleaning them. Always seemed a humane thing to do. But, i've never seen it done in an effort to land a fish. Not even when they're 30+ lb. Stripers. ::super_happy::

Surprisingly fast shipping brought this to my door step today. Camillus 69 - '60 to '76 DeLuxe Premium Stock Knife in very good cleaned condition. Four inches closed. Cleaned so well in fact they took off all the jimping on the liner between the back springs. Idiot! Oh well. I like it a lot anyway.

I've always wanted to get a Case Barlow, but hadn't found one for the right price until I picked up this one! It is 1984 62009 1/2 with sawcut delrin handles and stainless steel blades. Pretty much in brand new condition. It is the first Barlow I have that isn't a Colonial or Imperial, so it is nice to have solid handles for a change that don't sound hollow when you tap them. Blades both have solid half stops and are solid as a rock when open without the slightest hint of blade wobble. Love the big bolster with the Case XX stamping, and also love the tang stamp from this era. Very happy with this one indeed.
