Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?
Weeeeelllll you Oldgoat!! I knew I kept smellin' some stink the closer I got to home today!
When I walked in the wife complained that she thought the sewer had backed up and wanted me to do somethin' bout it. I had gone for my trusty snake and was ready to battle with what I thought was gonna be a real nasty job...
when I saw a POS package sittin' near the cat box!!
First thang that happened when I opened it was all this brittle, dusty, decompensated toilet paper exploding in my face.
When I pulled the Crown Royal bag from the POS packing...I had this fleeting moment of delusion that this may not be so bad after all...Then reality set in
I knew Oldgoat had drunk the whole bottle of Crown before he started this fart..er..uhh... farce!
The followin pics will tell the truth and nuthin' but de truth...so help me...
Still needed my snake after all and sure wished he had left me a sip or two from the bottle!!
P.S. This was awesome!
I can't wait for the next POS exchange! I got me some new BMs to add to the POT!! Thanks again OG. Great fun!!
P.S. This was awesome!

Nothing mystic about it Perry. I call everyone Bubba. Or Bubba-head, depending on the mood.singin46 wrote:What I'm tryin to figure out is how you and Jerry know that people call me Bubba? You guys must be telpathel,,,,,telegra,,,,,KRESKEN!

Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?
Just got off the tractor and went to the mail box, when I noticed a bunch of flies buzzing around. I figured that my POS from Andy must have arrived. I was right! My package had 2 imported pieces of cutlery, one from the Orient and surprisingly, the other from Switzerland. Thanks Andy. The little Victorinox is a neat little knife, even if one of the "slip in tools" is misssing. Had to be tweezers or a tooth pick. I've not seen one with the retractable ball point pen and it even works! Lots of fun, this POS Roundtable. Treefarmer

Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?
Alright, the day has finally gotten here. I wish I had photo capabilities, but my description will have to suffice. TripleF sent me a near mint Ulster Boy Scout knife. The only thing that keeps it from being mint is; bent liners, lazy blades, missing two bolsters, heavy scratched blades with black patina, and it looks like his dog chewed half the scales away! On the bright side, the Boy Scout emblem is in excellent condition.
Had a great time reading everyone's descriptions of their new treasures.
Can't wait to re-gift this POS at the next roundtable!!
Paul
P.S. Yes, to answer your question, we can still be friends, Scott......

Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?
Check this out. A 1976 Queen aluminum frame barlow that snaps like an alligator. Just because the mark side handle has a eensy weensy bit of damage, blademaker thought it was a POS.
A single blade knife with wood handles that's older than my dad and still snaps like a junk yard dog. The blade is pretty pitted but if I was as old as this knife, I'd be pretty pitted too. And blademaker thought it was a POS.
A LeatherMan KICK that has some almost unnoticeable damage to the plastic liner and blademaker thought it was a POS.
Anyone know what that little tool with the hole is?
An Ulster five tool Scout knife. The master blade is a teeny tiny wobbly and the snap is about half what it once was and one blade is broken off (Phillips screwdriver?) but otherwise it's in darned good condition and blademaker thought it was a POS.
Craig, you can unload your crap on me any day.
I'm a lucky guy. I'm a lucky guy.
Jeez, I got so excited I almost forgot to say Thank You!
