WWII CAMILLUS FOLDING SURVIVAL MACHETE
I picked this up at a flee market yesterday and got him down to $40.00 for it. The knife is in great shape, My wife used a little mild tooth paste on the black handles and got most of that crud off can see the white-ish crud you see in my photos.
Questions: after doing a little hunting around the net I see this knife sells from $60.00 to $200.00 (the cheaper ones seem sort of rusty). They mention 1st Model and 2ed Model, with my untrained eye at looking at each, I believe I have the 1st Model. What are you thoughs on this and how do you tell a 1st Model from a 2nd Model ?
Looking To Buy: I noticed looking around the net, that the knife came with a blade guard and also I found a leather sheath on Ebay for it (wheather I win it or not, it was good to see that they are out there). I would be in in the market to buy a blade guard and sheath if anyone has one laying around that would like to sell it.
This knife is heavy and solid at a rock, quite the weapon when opened up !!
Thanks
