....because you fellas have some knives I can only dream of, but I'll show off one my recent acquisitions anyway. I've really taken a liking to the "razor knive" style and here's a smooth bone American made Parker-Edwards that's on it's way. Can't wait to get my mitts on it!

Nice Razor Dewman, I think your going to like that one. I have one very similar by Parker with molasses bone scales. I know Parker gets bashed about but I have some very nice Parker knives in my collection and the one you just purchased would fit very nicely in there!

Many of the Razor's look a lot like the Saddlehorn patterns I collect, and I have picked about a half dozen over the last couple of years. Here is one from Keen Kutter

I'm pretty sure both of the Keen Kutter knives were made by Bear...for the Parkers, who I believe own that Trademark. Note the fact that there are no pins, other than the backspring pin. That's the way Bear did/does most traditional patterns, in my experience. Plus, Bear MGC (now Bear and Son) was originally Parker-Edwards. ::blah:: ::blah::

If your pocket only has $20.00 in it and you buy a knife with it.
Still show off your knife here. If you notice NOT a one person ever gets put down here for buying a $5.00 used knife (other that china made knife they may give their opinion). Please feel happy and free to show your girls off here any time.
If you can't afford a $100.00 knife (like so many here can not). That's OK.
I too some times feel that there are so many super ladies out there I want then ALL. But like you, it's just a dream.
Collect what you can and like. Learn from us all you can. You have some real nice knives all ready.
I just got a Schrade Fish knife (Yellow) many thought they will not be much of a collectors knife. New sold for about $7.00 and now some go as high as $50.00 I was told. I of course just got mine for about $30.00 in trading.
More to collecting than just $$$$$.

That is a great looking knife and one I would be very proud to own and show to my buddys'..

I think Ken said it best about not holding back anything you want to share with this group, we appreciate all knives and there is no price range in beauty...

Couldn't agree more. My first collectables were Parker's and Parker-Frost. Some were OK and others were excellent. I still have a few and I will keep them. There are also some inexpensive beauties to be found in eBay. It does not have to be $$$ to be enjoyable, or even bright and shiney.

It gives me icentive to "carry on". I've accumulated about 70 or 80 knives so far, my favorites being the Remington reproductions such as the R1127, R-1278,, R-1306, the R-1178, R-1253 "Big Al's Faforite" and a R-4466 Muskrat. Something about the Remingtons....and especially the L.W. Duke posters that really "call" to me. Know what I mean? My wife thinks I've lost my mind.

I bought one Kissing Crane Copperhead that was so-so. Middle pin was way, way too proud and I had to dress it down with a Dremel tool. I wouldn't think that should have to be done on a knife that's supposed to have a long tradition of quality. But, I guess there's always going to be one or two that slip through the cracks....and I was the schmck that got it. It looks fine now and I enjoy carrying and using it on occasion.

I was taking pictures of my new Ka-Bar Saddlehorn today and thought I would go ahead and take pictures of the rest of my Razor's and Post them. It seems there was some interest in Razor knives.

It's okay to lose your mind, just don't lose one of your knives. You really are addicted. If you need to go to rehab or something, I can hold your knives for you.

By the way since you like the Remington's, look at the Outdoor Exploration Series started in 2005 with the Compass shield. There are 4 Knives with the last one due out in 2008. The first one (North) is a 2 Blade trapper, the second (East) (my favorite so far) is a really nice Muskrat, the third (South) I believe is a Canoe. I have a few of the Bullet knives in my collection also and I agree the Posters are just outstanding.

Hey, I like those! Nothing wrong with Parker-Edwards knives, either. Seeing all of these and really looking at them for once is going to cost me a little money. I must have one.
