Knife Bomb from Rocky1122 arrived today. Not one but two Schrade 863's. One used and sharpened, the other new in pristine condition that's still in it's original factory tube.

I've stuck the used one in my pocket and am going to carry it. Thank you Rocky. You humble me man.

That's a beaut, toejammer! Did that knife use to be a muskrat at one point...?

Yep, was a muskrat pattern originally. Dale saved the good blade, and converted it to a single blade with the E/O design.

Jerry - the 863 is just about the perfect pocket knife for me - I love those things. I have several "new in the tube", along with a few beaters to EDC. Wish they made'em with bone handles. I do have a Herman Williams one in stag.....but that one is not going in the pocket!!

I had never heard of Herman Williams so I did a little searching? For those who, like me, are not familar with Mr. Williams, here's an old thread from 2008 discussing his work. http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 70&start=0

He also has three knives presently up on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/sch/electra_225/m.h ... 4340.l2562

Unk - You're a fortunate man to own one of these pieces of knife art.

Tuna Valley SwingGuard with nice fat stag. The fit and finish of this knife are outstanding.
The Stag on it is VERY nice and this knife operates perfectly.

Tuna Valley can DEFINITELY design and build EXTRAORDINARY knives, I surely hope that any 'start-up' issues
are worked out and they they now have thier best foot forward. ::pray::

Made one of my monthly trips down to Fayetteville NC for work and to use the facilities at Fort Bragg. While there I had time to get around to gunshops, pawnshops, and collectible joints. I found a Schrade LB 7OT that is NOS, leather case just slightly worn, knife like new, at a pawnshop. I also found a Camillus TL29BX (assume the BX means "boxed") at an Army-Navy surplus store; the Camillus is still in the box in a plastic wrapper with instructions - amazing how many of the discontinued brands are still on shelves here and there when you start looking for them. Those are my pickups for the week.
