A couple new Schatts

Post by singin46 »

The 1st is one you've seen before by our good buddy Sunburst, motivation to buy one, Harness Jack 3rd series 1 of 16 Candystripe Schatt & Morgan.
This is about as close to perfect as you can get in a reissue IMO.

The next is an Antique Caramel Wormgroove Whittler 3 1/8 closed. This knife is a Schatt & Morgan mint condition from 1998 no. 042146. Its gotten me a little fired up about that whole series now. :P ::tu:: Check out the original Queen box.

All right Singin !!!! ::tu:: ::tu:: those are some incredible pickups in my humble opinion.. :) The candy stripe is perfect like you said and having a 1 of 16 doens't hurt either... ::tounge::

That Wormgroove Whittler is one that has escaped me and I don't know why..It has that old vintage cutlery look about it that makes it down right "Purty"..I am looking forward to seeing you get the entire series...Just make sure you share them with us..

Very nice and looking good!!! That's the Schatt's for ya...

Thanks Charlie, Yeah I found it on the bay and had not noticed that series before so I researched it and found that it was in fact a 1998 series I had not seen. So I jumped on it. And for a small almost pen size it has the same standards that apply to the HJ's and all the Schatts or Queens. Clean lines,
tight fit and finish and of course that great walk and talk we have come to expect from Queen. Can't wait to see those 2 beauties that are comin.
Tell us all how the knife shows go. I have to wait till Nov. for my next show.

Most excellent looking knives Signin46 ::tu:: . I especially like the small whittler ::nod:: . Lately, I thought that perhaps I have developed an immunity to the Schatts but I feel a slight twinge all of a sudden. ::dang:: s-k

Here is What my set looks like.

Post by thebuzzardsloft »

The Candy Stripe is fantastic. ::tu::

The picture isn't great, but none the less this is what the Series 8 set looks like that I have.

I was lucky enough to pick this set up at the NKCA NW Georgia Knife Show in March in this nice little display case. For me personally I thought it was my find of the show. Gave $625 for the set. (Good Deal??) ::shrug::

I have been working hard to complete the anniversary year sets. I now have 10 of the 17 sets issued and getting close to completing a couple of more. Need the Canoe Whittler to complete the Series 5 Stag Collection. Need two to complete the Series 6 Emerald Green Bone. May have an extra knife from the Series 8 purchased before buying the set, need to look to make sure. The PUTER ::cr:: says I do!

I love it when I get the Schatts!

New Schatt's

Post by thebuzzardsloft »

Thanks folks,

From the answer, I must have made a good deal. As I said it is hard to find some of the pieces but every now and then I get lucky and find the set.

I have complete sets of Series 1, 2, 3, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, & 17

Getting close on Series 5 & 6 ::nod::

Need lots of help on Series 9 & 10 ::tear::
