That Bannister is fantastic! I collect Bannister knives and I've never seen a congress made by them as gorgeous as that one is.

Bret said today that the Bannister is probably his favorite of the group of knives we got this last weekend. That says a lot! I had never had the opportunity to really look at a Bannister knife before. It is a beautiful, well made knife that still has good snap. It does appear to be stag & the threaded bolsters really make it outstanding.

I can see why you collect them. Maybe you should start a thread in knife lore about your collection? I would love to see all of them...

Nice knives Tim and Johnnie. I have really gotten to like congresses since I started collecting, but when I was just using carry knives, I didn't see the point in having all those blades, and all of them short. I still don't carry one, but I sure like them now!

Thanks everybody for the kind words. I have'nt seen a knife in this thread that I did'nt like, The 4 blade congress is probably my favorite pattern. I just wish I had more of them! The small congress in the bottom pic is a 68 pattern with mammoth ivory scales tha was given to me by my wife in '07. It's pretty special to me. Please keep posting your awsome congress patterns!

Here's a few pic of mine.

I love the shape and feel of this knife pattern. Plenty of blades to match any given need.
Blades broken on a couple, plus a shield,(Case) but I still find them useful

It's a pretty solid knife. Sharp as a razor with really strong walk and talk on all blades. I love the stag scales, color is amazing in person. Scale 1 thru 10, I'd rate it an 8.5

P.S. Blue this was not made in Solingen Germany. Germany yes, but not sure where Boker made them. Came with the box and all papers that say it was produced by Boker Solingen Germany but it's nowhere to be found on the knife.
