I need small springs
If someone would be kind enough to find them for me, I need three 1/8" diameter X 3/4" ( wire diameter itself is probably okay anywhere from .008 to.0015) long coil springs to rebuild the chuck on an old drill press. I'll even buy a whole box assorted or otherwise if I have to but I just can't find them over here. Thanks for any help.
I measure my collection by the ton.

Robert - When you say long coil springs, am I correct in assuming this is the style spring you're looking for? (compression spring)
As you can see from the search information required on this web site, it's not as simple as length and diameter when it comes to springs.

This is probably closest to what I think you're looking for.

Re: I need small springs
I know it's a little more complicated so to be more specific.
Compression spring
Outside diameter of 1/8"
Length uncompressed (Free length) 3/4"
Compressed length .375
Wire Diameter .010 to .015"
Closed and ground ends.
The rest of the details asked for in that chart while important for certain applications will not come into play with what I am doing. and considering what came out of it these specifications don't have to be real close tolerance. Any thing that's pretty close will work so something out of the hardware store spring selection would be okay. Interesting how the price goes from above $7.00 down to .81 cents if you buy a ton of them.

Robert, will the spring from a retractable ball point pen work? They seem to be about the right size.

Good idea Jerry.
I'll take apart a few tomorrow and see what happens.
