My latest Schrade

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Schrade USA SC506 Barlow with the fox scrimshaw from 1981. I've been wanting to pick up one of these Scrimshaw Schrades for a while now but the price has always been a bit high...scored this one for $12 though! Still in really good shape, solid knife in good condition to use and show off...

Thanks GD, You gotta couple of goodies there yourself. ::tu::

Jerry, Sure seems like some disease in the blood. The only relief I get is when I know
another one's coming in the mail. ::teary_eyes::

Aussie, Think I'll need new eyes from looking at this screen, I got up to 350 over the weekend
and gave it a spell for a while.
Best part is I've only got about 30 knives that are not SCHRADE so it makes it
a bit easier to put them on the program.

I've had a couple of those with the same stamping and a long pull, both had milled liners. I believe all of the SCHRADE NY stamped Uncle Henry knives will have the serial number. I think the long pull is unique to that stamp too. I've had a couple of SCHRADE WALDEN stamped 885UH, they had a shorter pull.

Nice close ups thawk, I have about 10 of the later 885UH knives in brown boxes. I have about 12 885UH knives in the very late boxes - However, I have only 1 WALDEN 885UH and I been trying to find some more. Ken
