Scott, that looks like the Case Amber Bone, if so I have one in the Copperlock model - very handsome coloring in the amber - your canoe is sharp!
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! ::super_happy:: The Lord is risen! ::ds:: ::pray::

This little gem gets the call for "vest pocket goin' to church" duty today. It's one of my favorite "when you're wearin' a suit" carries. Now I must go don my monkey suit and prepare for Sunday Meeting, I'll check in again this evening. God Bless you all and may your prayers be answered! ::nod:: ::tu::

Speaking of being prepared for bear J.R, this is my 7x57 Spanish mauser carbine. Shoots the 175 gr at 2350, never lost a deer or a hog. One shot, one kill. ::tu:: ::tu::

I bought a new GEC White Owl and after sending the first one back because of cracked B-horn handles, I bought a ebony wood one but its still no where as nice as this conductor so I will still carry it for a while.

Nice rifle! ::tu:: ::tu:: I love mausers. I have a Belgian mauser chambered for 30-06 (7.62 X 61), it's a tack driver! But for one shot stopping power my 45/70 Gov. puts 300 grs out at about 1800 fps, I've never had to shoot anything twice! Which is probably a good thing because it's a single shot Handy Rifle! ::rotflol:: ::rotflol::

Nice Rifle indeed. ::tu:: .....I just bought one like the one in the pic....but mine doesn't have the cleaning rod underneath the barrel, mine has a bayonet. I'll post some pics of it later in the gun related thread....it’s a 7.65×53mm Argentine.

Glenn..thanks for showing that Barr killer. ::nod:: ::tu::

Nothing is stable with me and my knives...

I've moved my Leatherman Micra from my backpack to my PDA case for easier access. Already using the scissors more frequently and (gasp) even used the screwdriver blade. Anyway, with this change, I'm starting to work through the locking folders in my change/knife bowl. Today, it's this one. The thin profile makes for an easy carry the pocket of my Dickies despite the weight and size.

I've been trying to find a pre-china Schrade Sharpfinger to replace one that I lost on a caving trip awhile back. Haven't found one yet bu I did find this! It ain't a Schrade but it's real close and it's made in the U S of A. I'll be totin' this on my belt frequently if it proves to be half the knife my old Schrade was. ::tu::
