SERIALIZED GECs

It seems like I'm seeing fewer and fewer serialized GECs available at the distributors.
Has GEC decided not to serialize their knives as often as they used to do?

Hey Stephen***** looks like that is the way it is now ???___they no longer make a serial #001 ___since Ken Daniels, left the company**** lately,there have been a lot of the ""short runs"" some serialized,others were not__Boggs,even got a knife with serial number"" 2-7"" stamped on the bolster ???? ____it sure makes for interesting ""collecting"" _____you gona' jump back in,with both feet now ??????

I'm trying to quit.
I've only bought 2-3 knives since early December.
My most recent purchase was a lumberjack in spiral buffalo.
I've passed up some beauties and the urge to buy more GECs persists.
I have a lot of knives now and just going through them makes me feel more than a little overbought.

Got any bark mammoth ivory for sale, Monk?

You guys really think so......with the #66's and #57's there's a good assortment of both and depending on the handle material s/n were either be 1 of 25 or 1 of 35....but as Monk mentioned there were alot of Short Runs that hadn't been s/n maybe that's what we were seeing....

I thought GEC had decided years ago to stop doing runs where 50 would be serialized and only 1 was unserialized making the 1 more collectable than the others. I prefer non-serialized when I can get them because I like the cleaner look of the bolsters and its less expensive. However, a serial number hasn't stopped me from getting a GEC yet.
