Yep! It's a user. It will make it's way into the collection eventually but it'll see plenty of use first. I have a horizontal carry leather sheath ordered from a place in Texas, custom made for a 4 1/2' folder.

Thanks Gino. You guys should be GEC salesmen!!! I had been putting off buying one and then I saw the ones you guys were posting here and it pushed me over the edge. I love the thing already and plan to snag one of the White Owl Cigar Whittlers as soon as I can too. I plan to use it too. I know you asked that question as well as garddogg. The one below I purchased at the same time from the same dealer but I doubt I'll ever carry it, it's going in the display case! It's just too damn purddy to carry!

The heart of my collection is canoes and Case canoes in particular. However, for a canoe collector, I sure do have a lot of other knives!!! Trappers seem to find their way to me very frequently. There's an empty place in the display case right next to this abalone canoe for an M.O.P. canoe but that will have to wait for the budget to recover.

I know what you mean Jonnie, I've done the same thing many times. My Grandpa would probably shoot me if he knew I had his knife in a display case instead of my pocket!

Thanks brother I wish it was a tad bigger though. I thought about a GEC white owl but I dont want a bail and like the ornate shield and ringed bolsters of the 33.
Any one know if they make a whie owl like this???
