'73 Case 6246R Riggers Knife

Post by whitebuffalo58 »

Here's one I just finished up. It was a basket case when I got it. I processed, jigged and dyed the bone handles in house. I thought the navy blue was fitting for a mariners knife. This was my first try at inletting a shield, too.

I'm real happy with the way it turned out and don't think there's anything I would have done different. That's always a plus. Thanks for havin' a look.

WB

P.S. A special thanks to Dale for his help on some of the technical aspects of this knife that I wasn't sure about. ::handshake::

Thanks a million guys!! The original bone handles had pieces missing that ran right along the center pins. I think it had to be a result of the amazingly strong backsprings in these knives. Atleast they had the foresight to put a half-stop on the main blade, or these things would be dangerous.
