If I recall correctly Dave, this is from the last model year before he sold to Trek. It is not a full carbon frame, I could never afford that! Just the front fork and seat stays are CF. Thanks for the link to the tires, these Michelin will not last the season.

I got the Klein from a local guy off craigslist. He wanted something newer and fancier for his daily commute. Told me a couple months later the new bike didn't hold a candle to the Klein and he was sorry he sold it. First time on the Klein, before I even got it properly adjusted to me, I knocked 15 minutes off my 25 mile ride time. PM or email me if you want to talk more about bikes, don't want to muck up the EDC thread too much more.

Today I'm giving the old neglected Böker Tree Brand Stockman some pocket love. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to knock down some of that rust.

Hey garddogg, you know what would happen if you stuck your Buck knife in the spokes of that old Schwinn?

You'd need to send in the Buck for warranty work! :D :D

Nothing wrong with using a bike to get into the woods. I know guys who haul fishing poles, hunting rifles and backcountry skis on their bikes. Great way to make miles on logging roads. Rifle holster along the top tube. That'll do!!

Today's carry...

::rotflol:: ::rotflol:: ::rotflol:: Dam right Dave the Buck and I would need warranty work but the Schwinn would be ready to go on the next trip ::nod:: I get by a lot of swing gates with that Schwinn and a fly rod.

Nice ink Charlie.

I'm wearing cargo shorts today, so I hardly notice the 4" Lloyd in my pocket. But it's purty enough I just have to pull it out every once in a while whether or not I need it to cut something.

Can't say I blame ya, Doug. That is one fine lookin' sharp thing. I love the rosewood handle, it's got such beautiful grain. I toy around with making custom fixed blade knives and Bocote (also known as Mexican Rosewood) is one of my favorite handle materials but I yours is even better lookin'. Happy St. Paddy's Day! Be sure to drink responsibly! ::rotflol::

I've seen some bocote knives, lovely wood.

Thanks for the kind words. The grain on the other scale is just as good, if not better.

Here's another shot of the mark side, with a little less glare on the rosewood.

Well here are ones I carry through out the work week. The top 3 I carry every work day! They are a Zilla Jr. My camillus sizzle and my CRKT folding stubby razzel. The others are part of my rotation EDC knives. I need more pockets though, I never carry enough knives ::woot:: They are: Camillus Wildfire,GEC White Owl, King Cut. Germany, What I think is a counterfeit knife with worn stag handles and Catt. main blade and what looks like a Case pen blade, That Catt blade takes a wicked sharp, shave the hair off my arm edge! A Carl Schliper Eye Brand, an old Imperial barlow, a Robeson pen and last but not least is my Northwoods 2 blade jack. At least for now that is my rotation. I even swap those out from time to time. By the way the Sizzle has seen 4 years of abuse and I do mean abuse! A very well made knife with AUS8 steel. I have 3 more un-opened in the box just because I love that little knife! ::shrug::

Okay, so I lied. One more pic today. I picked this novelty knife up at a flea market just because it was a Celtic Cross. Had to stick in my pocket for an hour so I could post it here honestly!!! ::shrug:: ::rotflol::

Thanks Gino! I hope photo taken skills get better! Hey Charlie, can a guy carry too many knives? I may have to add suspenders to keep my pants from baggin in the back end! Gaurddog56, you and Charlie and Scott take me way back with the Jameson. Last time I had a taste of it I was at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip to see George Thourogood perform... But the Jameson girls were there and well.... Great music and.... lots o' fun! I almost forgot the one EDC that I always carry, even in my sleep. Is this 2 inch easy open 2blade that I carry around my neck! No tang stamp on this one I have no idea who made it.

Damn Doug! You're starting to make me feel inadequate! ::facepalm:: ::mdm:: ::paranoid:: The peanut is a true classic but Lord I love that Northfield! ::nod:: After my debauchery last night I didn't make church this morning, I'll be going to evening services and hearing it from the Pastor. ::dang:: I'm goin' to Mom's for some corned beef and cabbage first though. I'm walkin' this bear 'til time to get suited up for church. :)

Not my intent at all, Charlie. Love that bear, what are the scales? They are beautiful!

Wish I could join you for some of that corned beef and cabbage, one of my favorites.
