Breathing easier,,,,,,

Post by ringergary »

Hi all, Finally got sick of those one use dust masks. ::undecided::
Broke out and got a respirator. ::ds::
It's average quality, good for dust, paint, fumes.
I already have a lung problem, so I thought I'd better
do the right thing by myself.. :mrgreen:
What do you use?

Gary.

It's like I've always said, "If you can smell it, it's getting in your lungs". I just use the paper masks which isn't nearly as good as yours, but I also hold my breath and leave the shop when necessary.

I use the 3M half face masks. They are great fit and feel and you can get a good variety of cartridges for them.
I measure my collection by the ton.

Mine is a lot like Gary's mask.
It is good for many vapors, asbestous and even mold.

Not to be gross, but all you have to do is blow your nose after being in the shop all day, and you'll see the stuff that's in the air.

Masks... ::tu::

I wear a dust mask even when polishing a knife or springs on the buffer.
Got tired of blowing black emory compound out of my nose. ::doh::
