I just bought a new york knife co cigar jack knife with the hammer brand I think I paid alittle too much for it I paid 45. I c an't post on here on the so called smartphone so I am on photobucket my user name is jrbaker1990

NYKC closed it's doors in 1932. (c. 1852? - 1932) I don't remember what year they started
the Hammer Brand trade mark, but it was there "Top Shelf" knife.
I'm sure someone around here will know when the trade mark was started.
There jigging on the bone handle knives is very distinctive - makes it easy to spot one.

I think they started putting the hammer brand in the 1880s this is my fifth nykc and My favorite pattern. Thank for putting the pic on here for me
