Re: shell handled knives
Here's a repair on a Bengal 4 blade congress done with clear polish and markers.
The shell itself needs to be painted or colored under the repair or you will have a
shiny mark under the repair.
This one is now ready to be sanded down.
I don't have a pic of the finished result at the moment... as soon as I get some
batteries for the camera I'll show what it looks like now.

Re: shell handled knives
Nice finds, Gino!
I like the swedges on those little pen blade knives.
The solid color Barlow's are a bit harder to find than the
colorful one's. They only made um in 3 colors.

Re: shell handled knives
I haven't bought any old shell handled knives in a long time but I picked this one up a couple of days ago. I wouldn't mind have a few more of these tu-tones.

I've been looking at those too James. They are a pretty little knife. Puts you in mind of the '55 Chevy BelAirs. Love them pastels.

Thanks guys. I've got to admit that I don't know much about the tu-tones. Anybody know how many different colors and patterns they made?

Re: shell handled knives
Those ARE impressive, Glenn!
Most look NOS!
The colors are printed on them, not painted or colored cell.
I've got the fish knife in Carolina blue/white. I also won a camp knife in maroon/gray -
but the seller lost the knife and gave my money back.
Oh well...
I HAVE seen one of the ink pen's with MOP cell, but lost the auction...
After I finish the reproduction of Perry's Sports-master card, I will make a couple
reproductions of the ink pen counter card for ya's.

The first mention I have seen of them are in the 1959 catalog, but they may have been sooner.
I did not see them in the 1952 catalog.
