Kit question

Post by Toejammer »

Anyone ever messed with one of these, are they even worth the $ ??

Been wanting to try out a kit, but wasn't sure what manufacturers are decent.

I've put a few of those together over the years just for kicks. That one seems a touch overpriced, but like I said, it's been years. They work well, but expect to leave the blade with a touch of play in order to get the blade to fire properly. Other than that, have fun with it. As far as I can remember all the ones I've owned were given as gifts either assembled or not if the person wanted to tinker with it. Just don't expect something of Benchmade quality and it should be a fun project with something to show afterwards.

Thanks Bob, I was just hoping it wasn't too cheesy. I'm just looking for a fun little project, probably give the knife to my daughter in law afterwards. :D
