I think, based on the 4-line? stamp and the newer can opener that these are post WWII scouts, probably 1946. Here's one that I have with slick black handles:

She's 3 1/2 inches closed.....most of my Scouts are 3 3/4 closed.

Isn't the Featherweights and Brownies 3 1/2 ?

It is kinda weird that the shield says "Scout Knife"...maybe it was reworked..and the bail wouldn't fit correctly.

If it was originally a 4-blade knife and a blade or two was broken, it could have been taken apart and made into a 2-blade knife. I don`t have many German made scout knives so I can`t say for sure what is going on with this knife. If I had it in hand I could tell better if it has been worked on

If it was originally a 4-blade knife and a blade or two was broken, it could have been taken apart and made into a 2-blade knife.

I'm thinking that’s what more than likely has happened...also , I took a better look at it this Morning and its 3 5/8 closed.

I like it....I'll put a bale back on it and add it to my Scout collection.
