Thanks fellers!
My son said they were only askin' $24 originally, he offered 'em $15, they came back at $20, he left, came back a couple days later and offered 'em $17 and they took it. I told 'im i'd have dang near broke my arm tryin to get to my wallet at the $24! The little town he lives in, (pop.4000 or so) has 3 large antique stores, 8 flea markets and 5 pawn shops. Not to mention, auctions every Friday and Saturday night. ::facepalm:: I swear, i'd near kill myself in the first year, tryin' to take that many places in. ::dang::
Some people have all the luck! ::nod::

Thanks Bill, Tom & Perry. He sent another one too, a French knife by Jacques Mongrin. It's a lockback with a ring to pull to close the blade. It's made out of horn and is razor sharp. I've never seen this kind of knife or heard of the maker.

This is an example of the knife from a French website, not my knife or photo.

That's pretty cool to Mike and I really like the looks, but it seems that there is a lot going on for just two hands ::nod::

big monk, that RY4 Remington has opened my eyes a little more. I thought it looked just like the Camillus 716 I traded for but I realized the RY4 has only one blade. Treefarmer

You're right on the money Tom. That must be why we don't see them in these parts. ::nod::

Dog, as you already know, they're a P.I.T.A. to close. I have an Okapi and a Cold Steel Kudu which use that type of lock mechanism.

Jerry, I think they need to come here to Pennsylvania and learn how real lock backs are made. ::nod::
